Bucks Get Good News Regarding Bogut

The Bucks have received some positive news, as center Andrew Bogut didn't damage any ligaments in his ankle on Wednesday when Australia battled the United States, according to The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Bogut stepped on the foot of Kobe Bryant during the United States' victory on Wednesday, which ended Australia's Olympic run.

"The initial tests show no tear or break of anything," said David Bauman, Bogut’s agent, late Thursday. "It looks like it’s a bad sprain, and he will probably need a couple weeks of rest, recuperation and rehab.

"As of now, we’re not worried that it’s something very serious. It’s just a very bad ankle sprain."

Bucks center Andrew Bogut injured his ankle during Australia's loss to the United States on Wednesday, according to The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

"I think it’s a ligament," Bogut said, thinking the worst.

Bogut was to undergo an MRI on Thursday to determine the severity of the injury.

"I stepped on Kobe’s foot and rolled it," added Bogut, who signed a five-year, $60 million contract with Milwaukee this summer.
